All my friends have been talking about this new "wine club" called Tasting Room. I never knew there was such a thing. (And whatever it was, it sounded expensive.) They told me that a wine club sends you new bottles of wine each month in line with your preferences. As a fan of wine and a busy person, nothing sounded more appealing to me than getting my favorite wines delivered to my door.

My friends were urging me to sign up so we could have our own wine tasting party. I didn't want to feel left out, so I logged on to their site and was mailed a set of 6 mini-bottles to taste in order to create my wine profile. (It was a little like online dating!) I have very particular tastes so I was nervous that I'd get dud bottles. But I was surprised to find that it was easy to pick out which reds and whites I liked best based on their guiding questions. The profiles had adorable titles (mine was Subtle, Sophisticated Reds― quite accurate).Tasting Room determined which types of wines would be right for me, like finding true love. My wine matchmaker.

Once I got my delivery of bottles, I was finally ready to have the gang over for wine time. We had so much fun comparing our bottles and it made for a great night! I learned a lot about the different wines too, and was proud of myself for being somewhat of a connoisseur (for a great price).

Now, my friends and I have weekly gatherings to enjoy our Tasting Room wines. And more importantly, I won't feel left out when the next big club comes around.
