Few things are more exhausting than meal planning and prepping for kids, especially when you’re already tired from sleepless nights, work, and chasing after a toddler all day long.
As a busy mom of two, I was completely overwhelmed by mealtime. Particularly when my little one, Billy, transitioned to solids. Cooking healthy meals became an impossible and daunting task.
I felt guilty for serving my kids frozen meals, baby jar food, and unhealthy snacks that contained too much sugar and salt. It was stressing me out, but I just didn’t have the time or energy to plan, shop for, and cook 5+ healthy, wholesome meals a day.
This is when I discovered Nurture Life, and everything changed. To help fellow moms with similar struggles, I wrote this detailed review of the service, what meal solutions they offer, and why I truly recommend them. Keep reading or skip to:
Overview
Nurture Life is a meal delivery service that specializes in providing healthy, ready-to-eat meals designed for families, particularly those with young children. Their meals are crafted to be nutritious and balanced, catering to various age groups from babies to adults.
Simply choose meals and snacks from their vast menu, let their team cook, prep and deliver the meals straight to your door— serve as needed in 1 minute or less. This allows you to enjoy wholesome meals without the hassle and gives you much-needed time back in the day.
Kids Meals
Nurture Life’s Kids Meals are perfect for toddlers and kids. They’ve been an absolute lifesaver for me and my 3-year-old (Henry). These meals are designed with both nutrition and convenience in mind, offering a variety of balanced, kid-friendly options that my picky eater actually loves.
I used to feed Henry the same thing over and over again, but Nurture Life makes it so easy to introduce him to a variety of different foods and flavors. As you can see in the screenshot below, they have tons of options to choose from every single week, like Mini Corn Dogs with Green Beans or delicious Banana Pancake Puffs with Sausages & Sweet Taters.
Finger Foods
The transition to solids with my firstborn was a rather stressful experience. Not only was I constantly scared that he could choke, but he also wasn’t enjoying solids at all. All he wanted was his bottle, which often left me incredibly worried. I spent hours reading articles online on how to make baby food more delicious. I honestly wish I’d known about Nurture Life’s Finger Foods back then because my 10-month-old, Billy, loves them.
Nurture Life Finger Foods come ready to serve in little bites that are big enough to pick up, small enough to prevent choking, and soft enough to mash. This makes mealtime sooo much fun — for me and Billy alike! Options include Pesto Couscous with Chicken & Carrots, Chicken Bite Minis with Super Veggies, Alfredo Mini Pasta with Turkey Meatballs & Broccoli and so much more.
Super Sammies
Another Nurture Life Highlight (and Henry’s absolute favorite) is their Super Sammies— crustless sandwiches stuffed with all-natural ingredients like sunflower seed butter and real fruit fillings. These are a perfect snack when on the go and have 58% less added sugar than other brands.
Oaties
Then there are Oaties, which, in my opinion, make the perfect breakfast. My kids don’t have the biggest appetite in the morning, but they’re crazy about Nurture Life’s Oaties. They include 4 servings of real fruit per jar, no added sugar, and hidden veggies. I usually get their Variety Pack, which comes with 3 jars (6 servings) in Very Strawberry, Blueberry Bliss, and Banana Bread—yum.
Smoothies
I’m a big fan of smoothies myself, so I’m happy I found these delicious kids’ smoothies. They’re made with whole fruits, veggies, superfoods, and absolutely no added sugar. The best part? They’re designed so your kids only taste the naturally sweet and delicious fruit! Henry loves this sweet summery goodness. His favorite flavor is Straw-Melon Splash but they have lots of other refreshing ones too!
Mighty Bites
Another great Nurture Life Snack is their Mighty Bites, suitable for children ages 2 and up. These naturally nourishing bites are made with real, clean ingredients. I try to keep Henry away from sweets and candy as much as possible, so these have been really helpful. If he’s craving something sweet or finished up his lunch he gets to have one or two and he’s sooo satisfied. They come in super cool and fun flavors like Chocolate Chip, Snickerdoodle, and Oatmeal Raisin.
Final Thoughts
As a busy mom, Nurture Life has truly transformed our mealtime routine, alleviating so much of my stress. The convenience of having nutritious, ready-to-eat meals and snacks for my toddler and 10-month-old means I no longer have to scramble to prepare something healthy on a tight schedule. The variety and quality of the meals ensure my little ones like to eat, while I have the peace of mind that they’re getting the nutrients they need.
I wholeheartedly recommend Nurture Life to moms looking for a reliable solution to make mealtime more manageable and enjoyable. It’s been a lifesaver for our family, providing more time for us to cherish moments together without worrying about meal prep.
