How do they determine my shipment?

First step is their taste palate quiz: 7 questions about your food and beverage preferences that form your taste profile. Then the Bright Points algorithm - which was created by two MIT grads - scores each wine by comparing 18 attributes to your preferences, and matches you with your monthly experience.

They also ask how adventurous you are about trying new and different wines. Then you specify if you'd like only red, only white, or a bit of both. After that, Bright Cellarsknows exactly what your tastebuds like and don't like, along with how you enjoy your wine.

How often do you get wine?

Every month you get 4 new bottles that match your tastes.

Where do they source their wine from?

Their wine experts focus on finding unique, hidden gems from small vineyards all over the world, including Italy, Spain, Portugal, and South America. Only 1 in 12 wines that the Bright Cellars team tastes makes it into the monthly collections and then into your personal wine experience.

Anything else?

Their customer service is the best I've experienced. There was no hard sell, no obnoxious emails urging me to "buy, buy now!" Everything was on my own terms and when I was ready. Even then, any questions I had about my order and shipment were answered straight away. It was a joy to deal with them.

Needless to say, I adored each bottle, and yes I shared them with my friend on our next night in.
